I loved sharing the excitement and fond memories encountered during my summer reading. I often read a paragraph or showed pictures from my books, even though they were for adults.

I started with decorations. Papel Picado means “perforated paper.”  This art is usually intricately designed, with several different historical references as well.  But they looked like I could turn them into rectangle-shaped paper snowflakes. 

My corner classroom library was the lifeblood of my remedial classroom. Students earned their way into the Cozy Corner with a free time ticket. 15 punches on the ticket and you were in! You could read all kinds of interesting and enjoyable books while the other students worked. WOW!
