Grammar Review: Stories About Holiday Traditions

Fun!  Effective!  Motivating! Easy to Use!

Grammar practice does not have to be boring!

Holiday Traditions English Grammar Stories are a great way

to practice previously taught grammar and spelling skills

with intermediate, middle, and high school students.

The stories contain interesting historical and cultural information

about some Christmas traditions.

An effort has been made to

have the grammar practice be as secular as possible.

  1. Holiday Tree                                   5. Holiday Foods
  2. Holiday Star                                   6. Holiday Plants
  3. Colored Lights & Ornaments        7. Santa Claus
  4. Greeting Cards                              8. Carols

Each 20-30 sentence story focuses on the most common errors in homophones, suject-verb agreement, apostrophe, capitalization, punctuation, common spelling errors, irregular verbs, and irregular plurals.

The stories are simple to use and to grade, if desired,

because each sentence contains only one grammatical error.

Students enjoy trying to find it!

Every story includes an Answer Key

with an explanation for each correction.

A short extra credit Writing Prompt has been added,

as well as a Corrected Version in Paragraph Form.
